How Service Requests Work

Every project starts with a request. Whether it is trim, shelves, built-ins, faux beams, or modifications to existing feautres the first step is understanding what needs to be done and whether it is the right fit for this service.

1. Submit a Request

Start by sending a request with a brief description of the work needed. Photos and measurements are strongly encouraged whenever possible. Clear photos help with understanding the issue, reviewing the scope, and determining whether the work can be quoted ahead of time or needs an on-site visit.

2. Review of the Work Needed

After the request is received, the details are reviewed to determine the best next step. Some jobs can be quoted based on the information provided. Others may require additional questions, photos, measurements, or an in-person service visit before accurate pricing can be provided.

Not every request is the right fit, and that is intentional. The goal is to provide practical service within the right scope, not overpromise on work that should be handled by a licensed specialty contractor or a larger trade company.

3. Quote or Service Visit

If the scope is clear, a quote may be provided for approval before scheduling. If the work needs to be inspected in person, a service visit may be recommended.

A service visit may include reviewing the space, confirming measurements, and discussing possible solutions for any difficult situations.

4. Approval and Scheduling

Once the quote is approved, the work is scheduled. Scheduling is handled manually to make sure the time, materials, and scope make sense before the appointment is placed on the calendar.

5. Work Completion

The approved work is completed as discussed. If something unexpected is found during the job, it will be communicated before moving forward whenever possible. Some builds are simple and straightforward; others may require adjusting the plan if any issues are discovered.

6. Final Review and Payment

After the work is completed, the project is reviewed and payment is collected according to the approved quote, invoice, or service visit terms.
